When a book is titled “I’m Peeing as Fast as I Can” we can guess there are “quality of life” changes and challenges that are part of every day life. This self-help book, focused on the urinary bladder condition known as Interstitial Cystitis (IC), was launched at a luncheon recently, at the Village Eatery, Glendora.
In attendance were members of the Citrus Valley BPS/IC Support Group, book contributors and friends. The Glendora based BPS/IC Support Group’s book tells twenty personal stories of individuals working through the maze of medical questions, opinions and conclusions. It is written to be shared with those who have urinary problems. “I’m Peeing as Fast as I Can” are true stories of the discovery of insights and helpful choices.
The Citrus Valley IC Support Group, guided by urologist, Edward L. Davis, M.D., has for fifteen years addressed the medical condition of Bladder Pain Syndrome (BPS) / Interstitial Cystitis (IC); this disorder has the urinary bladder lining thinned or injured, which lead to the nerves in the bladder wall reacting to the caustic effects of the urine, causing pelvic pain and a constant urge to void.
“I’m Peeing as Fast as I Can” is available through Amazon.com, in both paperback and Kindle/online versions.
